What is an IEL?Demand for Interim Executive Leaders (IELs) is on the rise!

Nearly 70% of current nonprofit executive directors in the Greater New York Metropolitan area expect to leave their positions in the next five years.

An IEL brings strong and effective -- but temporary -- leadership to an organization during its executive transition.

IEL Training has a highly competitive selection process and is limited to 25 participants.

The Support Center is looking to attract a diverse group of nonprofit professionals who are:
  • Current and former executive directors with experience in nonprofit executive management who are considering a career as an Interim Executive Leader
  • Serving or served as an Interim Executive Leader who would like specialized training
  • Mid-to-late career who were once executive directors and now have independent consulting practices
  • Organizational Development consultants and other nonprofit professionals who want to increase their knowledge on interim executive management and learn how to more effectively address the leadership challenges within a transitioning organization without necessarily wanting to serve as an Interim Executive Leader

  •  This is a two-day, back to back training
  •  Participation is required both days

  • We will notify all applicants of our decision via email by early March
    • The training fee of $450* is due at that time
